As much as I have
worked to get myself and name out there for
agents and
photographers to seek me out for their projects and photo shoots,
the time has come!!
RAW Artist Las Vegas asked me to be
spotlighted in their monthly event which includes a fashion show, DJ and other artistic trades to see and get interested in all the while helping out a fellow artist. I will get to shoot a video of myself telling why I do what I do and what
inspires the looks I love most. I am very
excited for that because I will get to get all dolled up too!! I will be working the
fashion show in the back doing makeup on each of the models, changing their looks after walking. This is my
dream, I love fashion shows (in the back) I love the fast pace, I work well under pressure! Photo shoots come in a close second favorite because after the
makeup is done I can see behind the camera how it looks and have the opportunity to direct and change what I see and make everything look better and there is always the option of choosing the
best pictures for my portfolio and tossing the negatives. The event is held
October 27th at Tommy Rockers on Dean Martin.
Tickets are $10 and you would be
supporting me!! I would love to see all your faces there!!
Also, someone from
Ed Hardy who is a model and talent coordinator contacted me for their next photo shoot for the next catalog. I would only have to do
5 models and keep the main focus on the face like foundation, contouring, highlighting, cheeks and lips!
Easy peasy lemon squeezy haa That is my favorite part of makeup. Eye shadow comes in a close second but I love the beauty in the shapes of peoples faces. The pay is good I just hope that this is a
real deal because I don't want to waste my time on photographers trying to jerk you around, it happens in the business but that is what I am
always aware of and
skeptical until I get there and I am paid :-)
There are certain
photographers I work with when they come to town. I haven't done any
traveling for a shoot yet but I wouldn't mind as long as I am treated right and it's not too far away!!
I have to make a
decision very soon on what I am going to
put my all into for the
future and my
career. Staying in makeup means getting my own
business license before January, that
excites me a little and also makes me a little nervous lol. If I choose another more
stable profession I need to get schooling done asap with a
part time job in the mean time. This decision will most likely be
dictated by how well the rest of my makeup work goes for the next couple months.....
We will see. Tough decision.
